As a certified BRP supplier, Lefko received a questionnaire from the multinational corporation wishing to paint an overall portrait of its suppliers on various subjects, notably their environmental footprint, social awareness, global position towards sustainable development, etc.

DID YOUR ECOLEADER CERTIFICATION ATTRACT BRP’S ATTENTION?

Because we were the first suppliers in the plastics manufacturing sector to mention our ECORESPONSIBLE^TM Certification, the approach intrigued those in charge of the BRP file, and they wanted to find out more about the program and assess its credibility.

HOW DID BRP REACT AFTER RECEIVING YOUR INFORMATION?

At first glance, they seemed very interested in the ECORESPONSIBLE^TM Program. They then confirmed this interest by adding a question to their consultation document to find out if suppliers had the ECORESPONSIBLE^TM Certification.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THIS INFLUENCE FOR LEFKO?

Honestly, for an originator such as BRP, pricing is always crucial criteria when granting mandates. However, I believe that our ECOLEADER certification gave us a head start and allowed us to add value to our proposal. Moreover, it showed that we are an innovative company when it comes to sustainable development—a component that is becoming a necessity for large corporations.
