Germain Archambault

PRESIDENT

A Chemical Engineering graduate from the Polytechnique Montréal school in 1979 with an MBA from Mcgill – HEC, Mr. Archambault worked in managing many companies in the petrochemical, plastic manufacturing and plastic packaging industries. While working for the management of these businesses, Mr. Archambault focused his efforts on implementing sustainable management strategies. Success relies on a culture shift in which management turns its focus towards the human management of resources (through improving the management of occupational health and safety, training, mobilization and employee participation in the company’s projects), improving productivity (through reducing loss and waste, analysis and improving work processes) and by respecting the environment (through ensuring peoples’ understanding and measuring the company’s impacts on its surroundings, including people, neighbours, the environment and society). Mr. Archambault managed Dyne-a-pak Inc., Les Produits Polychem Inc. and Interplast Inc., among others.

Since retiring in 2017, Mr. Archambault splits his time between sustainable development consulting contracts and supporting the Conseil des Industries Durables’ (Council of Sustainable Industries – CID) activities.

Mr. Archambault currently sits on the CID’s board of directors and has acted as its President since 2013. Mr. Archambault was also a member of the Centre Patronal sur la Santé et Sécurité au Travail du Québec’s board of directors and acted as its President until 2012. Mr. Archambault is a member in good standing of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec. He worked closely with many government committees including, most recently, the Comité conjoint sur les matières recyclées (Joint Committee on Recycled Materials – MDDEP and Recyc Québec).
