André Besner has been the Chief Environment and Sustainable Development | Corporate Affairs at Hydro-Quebec since 2010. He is responsible for the governance and performance of the global business environment and sustainable development, and for publishing the annual Sustainability Report. He is also in charge of developing and implementing the corporation’s Sustainable Development Action Plan.
He previously held the position of researcher and project manager at Hydro- Quebec’s Research Institute before being appointed Chief Environment Institute and Head of the Department of Science Materials, in 2005.
Mr. Besner has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Université de Montréal and a double degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the School of Management Sciences at UQAM and University Paris-Dauphine.
